Welcome to SilviCultural!
After months of building and preparation, I am excited to unveil this community and platform, and I am so happy you have joined us as a founding member. Over time, I hope to grow this platform to be the largest organization of individuals in the forest economy. In the meantime, however, we are beginning as a small community of strangers, and so things may be slow at first. Here’s how you can make it faster.
Fill Out Your Profile
Adding a profile picture, cover photo, and details about yourself can help grow connections and break the ice. Let the community know who you are and where you are from (note: you can be as vague or specific about your location as you are comfortable sharing)
Make a Post
Share a few photos or videos of your land or operations. Whether you own a Ponsse Scorpion or tug logs with an old beaten-up ATV, share it with the world. This community is for people of all backgrounds and experience levels, so there are bound to be people who want to see what you do.
Join Discussions
Join some groups that interest you and start a discussion. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and help others. Everyone has something to contribute.
Give Feedback and Suggestions
There is a special group for giving feedback and suggesting new features. As you use SilviCultural and its features, let us know of any problems or potential improvements as well as brand new features you’d like to see. While some improvements may take time, others may be easy to implement. And remember: This is a new site. The two months prior to launch were spent finding and fixing bugs, but they are still out there. Overtime, we will find them all.
I hope you enjoy!
Looks great, can’t wait to see the SilviCultural Community grow!
